FAQ

What is ABA therapy?

ABA Therapy uses the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. This type of analysis is the most effective and scientifically proven method for treating individuals with autism.

ABA Therapy is not “one size fits all.” Therapy is individualized and tailored to each learner. Standard components throughout ABA Therapy include breaking down larger skills or goals into more teachable parts, using positive reinforcement, and the importance of generalizing skills across people and settings.

What ages do you work with?
We work with learners ages 18 months to 18 years old.
In what counties do you provide services?
Success Across the Spectrum (SATS) currently provides services to clients in Hunterdon and Somerset counties. Staffing availability permitting, we offer services to the surrounding counties as well.
Where do sessions take place?
ABA Therapy sessions take place in the home, community, and daycare or aftercare settings.
Will insurance cover ABA?
ABA Therapy is a medically necessary treatment. In 2010, the Developmental Disabilities Mandate became effective in New Jersey. The mandate ensures that group health plans provide coverage for ABA treatment for individuals with an autism diagnosis under 21 years of age.
Do you take my insurance?
SATS is a participating in-network provider for Aetna and Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey. We will work as an out-of-network provider for all major insurance companies, such as United Behavioral Health and Cigna.
When and how will I receive my invoice?

We will bill your insurance monthly if you receive services through your health insurance plan (either in-network or out-of-network). Once we receive the Explanation of Benefits from insurance, we will email you an invoice with the portion of your responsibility.

If you are a private client (not going through insurance), you will receive an email with an invoice within the first two weeks of each month.
